Quotes_1aI forecast it 57% likely. Goodbye AT&T, hello T-Mobile?Quotes_1b

AT&T's iPhone exclusive contract in the US runs out next year. Will Apple move to another carrier like T-Mobile?

According to Fast Company:

"Being an AT&T-only hardware maker isn't working out as fortuitously for Apple. AT&T's network is prone to outages and is known to be one of the worst offenders in the dropped-call rankings. Its service plans are more expensive than T-Mobile, its 3G speeds are less consistent than Sprint, and its customer service is ranked as inferior to Verizon's"

So will AT&T loose the iPhone contract, which would be a major blow to the company?

    Quotes_2_aMarketing and Cometition Baby!
The flood of new smart phones hitting the market in the next 18 months AND the creative ad campaign by verizon against AT&T will dictate that Iphone allow itself access to a broader sales market. Especially after its failed attempt to take over the largest cell market of all, China.Quotes_2_b

    Quotes_2_awell, um... imprecisely worded question...
I think they are more likely to go multi-carrier, so I am saying YES to this prediction... I think they will remain with ATT but will expand to other carriers...Quotes_2_b

    Quotes_2_aThey wont "lose" it...
Certainly apple will go multi carrier with most likely Verizon and offer them to T-Mobile as well. At&t will lobby hard to protect the dedicated access to the platform. They will pay what they have to.Quotes_2_b
